Adjustable Distributor How To for Chevy Astro, HUGE IMPROVEMENT
Переглядів 2,1 тис.4 місяці тому
THIS IS IT! Have you had constant distributor issues on your Astro Van? Does your GMC Safari chew through Caps and Rotors? HERE IS THE FIX!!!! (I think?) My Astro would get about 3-5k miles out of a cap and rotor before I'd have to replace them, no matter what brand I used, and it was driving me insane! In a previous video I showed you how to replace your distributor with a billet unit: ua-cam....

Переглядів 1,1 тис.4 місяці тому
I'll show you how to fix the roof of your Aframe Popup Camper! You might have noticed bubbles or wavy portions of the roof on your trailer, and this is caused by the roof materials delaminating and separating. This is a quick method of repairing the damaged areas, with minimal time or money, and should be applicable to all a-frame campers (ALiner, Chalet, Rockwood) and other pop up campers as w...

Using a VW Master Cylinder in a Porsche 911 (1965 - 1989) Save $500!
Переглядів 3904 місяці тому
I'll show you how to replace a master cylinder in a Porsche 911 (1965-1989) using a cheap $60 Volkswagen master cylinder, instead of a genuine Porsche one ($600 !!!!!). FULL DISCLOSURE: The senders that came with my $60 volkswagen part were BOTH bad; both leaked brake fluid as soon as I installed it. I suggest you remove the senders or install GOOD QUALITY SENDERS in the cheap VW part, because ...

Переглядів 1,3 тис.4 місяці тому

Join me as I show you the $500 B16 I picked up, why I think this engine is a perfect match for this chassis, and learn about the history and development of this engine! 00:00 Int...
Chevy Astro Van Won't Start AGAIN! Coil Testing, CPS, & Distributor
Переглядів 1,6 тис.4 місяці тому
My Chevy Astro van won't start even after replacing the rotor, so in this video I'll diagnose what's wrong this time, and show you how to replace the CPS, test the coil and inspect the distributor. I love this van, but the ignition system has been so unreliable for me, but I think I finally found a solution for constantly replacing caps and rotors, in the next video! This video is just the diag...
Yamaha Phazer Dies without Choke & Billet Shottcraft Carb Plugs
Переглядів 5394 місяці тому
In this video, I'll show you what's wrong with my Yamaha Phazer project sled; it wants to die unless you flip choke lever occastionally. In previous videos, I cleaned out the fuel tank, and ran all new fuel lines, and rebuilt the carbs, but it's never been quite right. The rubber plugs in the bottom of Phazer carb fuel bowls shrink over time, and Shottcraft reached out to me and offered a set o...
How to Install Pedals in an Aircooled Porsche 911 1967-1989
Переглядів 3464 місяці тому
In this video I'll show you how to install a pedal cluster in an aircooled Porsche 911. In the previous video I showed you how to remove the pedals, and rebuild the pedal cluster with bronze bushings. Installation is not super fun, so I made a separate video just for installing the pedals. DISCLAIMER: If you have a better way to install this, let me know in the comments! I just put this out the...

Переглядів 3534 місяці тому
This video covers will show you how to perform a leakdown procedure on a 1990 Honda Civic Si, but this procedure is the same for all Hondas, and all cars really. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY the Harbor Freight Leakdown Tester (See here:xxxxxxx), but just save yourself a headache and buy this one: OTC Leakdown Tester: amzn.to/3hedqdl If your leakdown % is acceptable (healthy is 6-12...
Install 7 Pin Trailer & Brake Controller: Chevy Astro GMC Safari
Переглядів 9314 місяці тому
Towing is one of the things that separates the Astro from other minivans and because it's based on a full size truck, it can actually do a pretty good job, with a factory tow rating of over 5000lbs! However, just because it can tow more than most other vans, doesn't mean it's particularly good at stopping. In this video, I'll show you how to install a 7 pin trailer plug and brake controller so ...
I had an XR2 at one time. Then suddenly, I didn't. Shelled the powerhead. Melted 2 coils, 3 sets of roller bearings, and burned 2 pistons. For the cost of a rebuild, I got a 175 EFI. Problem solved.
Who did y’all steal that from for 500
Get back to work on the 10hp mercury on the 8 foot hydroplane
Thank you for a great, concise, explanation. I agree completely. A+++
SUB. SCRIBED. Top work my friend! Keep this proper UA-cam shit flowin'. LONG LIVE THE TWO STROKE!
Mine is the same one and has the same results
Bring them back with outboard engines!
I 💯 agree with you about the cost of everything going up and our last couple of winters in southern ontario have been crap with little to no snow . Who wants to spend 1000s on a new sled with no snow
This helped me this morning.. Thanks. The choke swap wasnt easy - not clear on how to swap, wasnt sure how to put re-install with the knobs, but by chance, the PW worked.
Poppit valve?
Its the argon, use 75/25 bi mix for carbon. Argon is for s.s. and aluminum
It would’ve been a better video if you weren’t blocking the shot half of the time… But still good information thanks.
Thanks! What do you recommend people do who do not have those skills that you have? I would not know how to do any of that stuff I can buy the material but no clue who to ask to do this lol

What's the mpgs when towing the A frame?
ITS NOT A JET BOAT IF AINT GOT NO JET PUMP YOU DORK...LOL
Did you get this Mercury V6 over heat figured out? It sounds like you have compression leaking into the cooling jackets. could be a crack cylinder. I can tell you how to isolate the problem. I'll check back, if you respond I'll talk to you.
Grind the paint off dude
I tore off the entire roof, I ordered new panels and TPO roof and that’s what I’m doing
Awesome car, great tutorial, and a fucking excellent backing track. 10 out of 10! I need to do this with my '99, it's been sitting for over a year 'cause it won't go into reverse. It's been a "some day" thing for so long, I need to finally act on it.
Snowmobiled all my life in northern Wisconsin. I’m 60 years old and sold my snowmobiles due to lack of snow. I really miss it.
I feel like some rear wheel spacers would fix the width issue while driving in deeper snow, just picked up a insight myself
Great video. I particularly enjoyed the fact that you didnt shy away from the polution topic. I run 90's seadoos so I too often think of that, but I agree with your assessment.
No bathroom? Other then that I like it.
Did the rs2 step to my 100 s4 c4 sedan back in the day. It really is all you need to have a super fun daily driver!
you have completely missed the history of the QC4V. First it was the 1350. Then it was the 1100. Then it was the 1650 race version, which became the 1750 race version. Then the 860 and Class 1 N/A version. At this time we also got the two dual cal engines, of which the 1350/1550 was first, then the 1100/1350. And they are produced to this day, not from 2003 to 2013. They debuted in 2011. The V8 outboards debuted in 2018, not 2010.
Dude, the Deuces High was ALWAYS cool. 2017? You're late to the party.
Well, I know absolutely nothing about power boats, so this has been very interesting for me. I’ll be honest 200 BHP doesn’t sound much for a racing boat However I’m probably basing that on a car. Having said that, this is on water, which I would imagine is quite a bit different to a road or race track
I purchased a big block 1988 pachange 22 brand new in 1990. Awesome boat. A friend of mine had a twenty two and a family member also had a twenty two. Those were the days. It was a mobile dance platform for the ladies. :)
You need a 15 hp. 1968 Merc
Is that a factory lip on there?
It's been nearly two years since an update on this sea flea! You've upgraded boats using Space Age Materials! You've attempted offing yourself with CO! Maybe even a couple other things since then! Anyway, get this sucker fired up and SENT IT!
Applying heat to the bearings will facilitate it's removal.. Both bearings should be replaced for that much trouble.
I think the 400R is missing
I watched e1 so slow
The first gas raceboats had a top speed of 23mph. These are the first electric race boats, and they're hitting 60mph. I bet the first gas powered boat race was pretty boring too, but look where we are now?
you always know its a merc. when it wont krank johnson first pull
Throttle body .mas air flow sensor .volt reg.dist pick up .
we cant forget OMC's rotary race engine, which SCARED THE CRAP out of mercury.
Yep, it's a joke..... most property owner type Lakes with speed limits, around here those property owners have massive Wakeboard Boats that putt along slowly with Ballast tanks creating absolutely huge 'wakes' to surf on ? How about some 18" Wake Laws ?
Great video! Thank you!
you can thank Al Stoker (Stoker Sport Tunnel) for designing and building that boat. He ended Hydrostreams reign as the fastest boats in Mod VP with that hull. I had one beat my Viking with one until I put a 200 Black max on it and before working on the engine it went 10 mph faster. Ive seen SSts with Merc Mod VPs running over 100 mph. Theyre stable and very fast compared to a Hydrostream and wont chine walk. Nice boat by the way, I love watching the vid.
Yes !
99 Astro deep pan and i was hoping just to order the pan with the valve already in it BUT reviews on both when you search Safari or Astro only come up with didnt fit remarks and wonder maybe they had the shallow versions or if anyone has tried the ones linked above? thanks for info and video
Probably idiots that didn't order the right depth pan.
Government was going to outlaw 2 strokes but so many people swapped theirs out for one of the new four strokes the government didn’t need to follow through with the ban. Which I’m glad for because I still run my 1986 85 Horse Suzuki on my fishing boat.
Actually they just passed emissions requirements
@@ADDvanced what I meant was an outright ban on operating two stroke motors on public waterways
Wow, No footers and just sitting on concrete pavers. Have fun when the ground freezes. I would've done poured footers for sure and have the frame start 20" off the ground to help avoid winter snow and give you room to insulate later if you want.
If I did that it’d require a building permit and a bunch of other BS. Trying to work around the rules here.
@@ADDvanced Got it.. I would've done it myself anyway.. build the foundation piers, then had the guys come build the shed. I'm about to build a 9 x 18 (internal dims) with a an arched steel frame truss roof. And I'm just doing it. I'm not worried about "da man" especially for a shed.
@@oldowl4290 I'm actually in a fancy/expensive place, so the fact I'm doing this "on a budget" instead of putting up a $750-1.5mil house annoys some people, so I have to be pretty strict about the rules, despite being 'off grid'. Do a video, would love to learn more things! Cheers dude!
